ASTI, which is currently located in the center of Ankara, causes paralysis of especially Konya Road just in front of it, at every time of the day due to increasing traffic and intensity. In order to eliminate this negativity, the move of ASTI to the intersection of Nato Road and the Ring Road at the borders of Mamak district came into question and the design was realized in this direction.
As in every structure, parallel to the changing / evolving user needs, the program of the new ASTI building has been updated to meet the expectations and the new structure designed was not only a transport structure, but was also offered to the public by providing an urban status with its eating / drinking / commercial areas.
Designed as a spring form, the structure has differentiated/privatized itself with its form. The areas formed between the two intersecting springs provide an dynamic perception of both themselves and the mass as a whole with an ever-growing geometric order starting from an angularly narrow point. While transparent skylight that created on the roof in harmony with mass providing light to the structure during the day, illuminating the sky like a lantern with the light inside the building during the night through. Thus, it strengthens the image and prestige of the structure in the city.
